Platform staff guide

This guide is for the people who run RustyThrones itself: the operator, platform admins, support and finance staff. They use the platform area of the panel (panel.rustythrones.com), a second sidebar next to the community pages. It shows every community together: players, bans, money, accounts, communities, plugins, the item catalog and the infrastructure.

Not a platform member?

Community owners and admins should read the Community admin guide. Players should read the Player guide.

Open the platform area

An account with a platform role sees Platform admin in the account menu (the role is shown as Platform operator, Platform admin or Platform support). The platform sidebar has these groups:

A page whose capability your role lacks is hidden from the sidebar; opening its address anyway sends you back to the dashboard. A platform member can also enter any community through a support session.

Roles and capabilities

There are three platform roles. Only one account is the operator (the owner of the platform); the other two are granted by the operator on the Users page.

In short: support reads everything and handles bans and moderation; platform admin also runs operations and accounts but never touches money, roles or platform settings; the operator does everything.

Inside a community

RoleActs in a community as
OperatorFull access (owner-only actions included) once a support session is started.
Platform adminAn admin of any community: never owner-only actions (plan changes, payouts, ownership).
SupportA viewer who can also see the player list and console output and moderate players.

Platform members who are not members of the community must start a support session first.
