Hosted servers
A hosted server is a Rust server RustyThrones provisions and runs for you, with every feature (wipes, updates, schedules, files, plugins, server config, store, kits, full stats and map renders).
Request a hosted server
Hosting is on request: an operator reviews and approves every request.
- Open Servers then New server and choose Request a hosted server.
- Fill in the form:
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Server name | Up to 64 characters. |
| Size | Small (6 GB RAM, about 50 players), Medium (8 GB RAM, about 100 players) or Large (12 GB RAM, about 200 players). |
| Notes | Optional, up to 1,000 characters: region, map, plugins you need. |
- Click Send request. You get "We'll confirm within 24 hours." Nothing is billed or created until approval, and requesting reserves nothing.
What happens next
The request shows on the Servers page under Hosted server requests:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Requested, pending review | Waiting for an operator. |
| Provisioning | Approved: the server is being created (a job runs). |
| Ready | Open dashboard takes you to the new server. |
| Rejected | A reason is shown. |
Community owners and admins are emailed when the request is approved or rejected.
Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Plan | The plan must include the Hosted servers feature (Pro by default) and a free Hosted servers slot (Pro: 1). Otherwise "Your plan has no free hosted server." |
| Open requests | At most 3 at a time, 5 per day per community. |
| Role | Admin or owner ("Your role can't request servers."). |
If the card is disabled it shows why, with a Compare plans link when the plan is the reason.
After approval
A hosted server appears in your list like any other. Use Servers and dashboard for lifecycle actions. Hosted servers can be restricted if billing fails: see Plan and billing.
