Player site

Player site (Community group) controls how your community's website looks to players: colours, logo, banner, text, which sections exist, the website address and whether you are listed in the RustyThrones directory. Needs the site.manage permission (Admin); domains need site.domains (Admin).

Players then see the result at your community website. What each section contains is described in the Player guide.

Colours

Field	Rule
Main color	Hex color such as #22aa88. Default #ff6b35. Very dark colors trigger a warning because the site is dark by default.
Second color	Hex color. Default #7aa2ff.

Logo and banner

Image	Rule
Logo	Square image, PNG, JPEG or WebP, 2 MB max.
Banner	Wide image, 1600 x 400 or larger, 2 MB max.

Upload replaces, Remove deletes. The images belong to your community only.

Text and links

Field	Limit
Tagline	120 characters. Shown under the community name on the home page.
Description	600 characters. Shown on the home page and the About page.
Discord invite link	A Discord invite such as https://discord.gg/yourcode; other links are refused. Adds a Discord link to the navigation, footer and home page.

Sections

Switch sections on or off. An off section disappears from the navigation and its address returns to the home page.

Servers, Live activity, Clans and Legal are always available.

The right-hand Live preview shows the home hero with your name, logo, tagline and a Play now button. Save with Save; Discard reverts.

Communities directory

Switch on List my community on RustyThrones to appear in the public communities directory on the panel landing page. It shows your name, logo, tagline, website, Discord and live player count. Off by default.

Website address

On the same page, Addresses:

Your site address	<your-address>.<platform domain>, with a Copy button. Free, and available now: for example my-clan.rustythrones.com.
Custom domains	Your own domain such as play.yourclan.com. Up to 2. A Pro-plan feature ("Pro" tag and See plans otherwise).

Add a custom domain

Full step-by-step guide, with where to click at OVH, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap and others: Use your own domain. In short:

1. Type the host and click Add domain.
2. Create the records the panel shows: a TXT record (proves ownership) and either a CNAME to sites.rustythrones.com (subdomain like play.yourclan.com) or A records to the shown IPs (root domain like yourclan.com, which cannot use a CNAME). On Cloudflare set it to DNS only.
3. Click Check now. Statuses: Pending, Verified, not pointing at RustyThrones yet (ownership OK, CNAME/A missing or wrong), Verified, Failing. Once verified and pointing, HTTPS is issued automatically on the first visit.

A verified domain is re-checked daily (TXT and where it points); if the TXT fails for 7 days it becomes unverified. A domain can belong to one community only; up to 2 per community. The trash icon removes it.

Sign-in on a custom domain uses a one-time hand-off so players stay signed in there.

Pages (Home and About)

The Pages card edits the text of your site's Home and About pages. Until you change something it shows the default text (your tagline and description for Home and About); the first change makes the page yours, Reset to default goes back.

Empty lists are hidden on the site. Start from the standard cards / rules fills a list with ready-made text to adapt. Cards linking to a section you switched off are hidden. Save with the page's Save button like the rest of the Player site settings.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
Colour rejected	Use a 6-digit hex value with #.
Image rejected	Too big (over 2 MB) or wrong type.
Discord link rejected	Use a discord.gg / discord.com/invite link.
Domain stays Pending	TXT or CNAME wrong or not propagated; compare with the values shown.
A section 404s	It is switched off here.
